You are officially invited to our annual South Tampa Gold identification week!


Showcase your skills, be selected and secure your roster spot for the upcoming 2025/26 season.


In order to efficiently assess and successfully place all competitive players we recommend that you

take advantage of attending one (or more) of your scheduled Identification events. (See schedule below)


Please stay up to date by checking your calendar in PlayMetrics as your assigned ID sessions will

 replace your weekly training sessions and player schedules may change during Golden ID Week.


Please make sure to RSVP via your PlayMetrics account to confirm your attendance as spots are limited

and may vary based on age group, competitive level and team roster sizes for the upcoming season.

Additionally, all competitive STG players have the chance to highlight their talent in our Golden scrimmages

which allows our coaches to further evaluate individual skill, teamwork and placement. (See schedule below)

Our 2017/18 Boys Crowned Champions at Best of the Bay!
  • Our 2017/18 Boys delivered a standout performance at the Best of the Bay Tournament, showcasing their determination, teamwork, and continued growth.
  • The team went undefeated and finished as tournament champions, conceding only two goals the entire weekend—an impressive defensive and offensive display.
  • We’re incredibly proud of the progress these young athletes are making every time they step on the field. Their hard work, focus, and love for the game truly shined throughout the event.

March Madness Highlights: 2014 Girls Crowned Champions & 2015 Boys Earn Finalist Medals

  • 2014 Girls – Tournament Champions: Our 2014 Girls took on the challenge of playing up in the U12 bracket and rose to the occasion with heart, discipline, and determination. The team allowed just two goals all weekend, battled through penalty kicks, and emerged as tournament champions. Their performance was a true display of resilience and team spirit.
  • 2015 Boys – Tournament Finalists: Our 2015 Boys faced a competitive bracket, advancing through the group stage with grit and determination. In the final, they fought to a hard-earned draw that went to penalty kicks, ultimately finishing as proud finalists. Their focus and effort throughout the weekend were outstanding.

Bradenton Cup Recap: 3 Champions and 1 Finalist Finish for South Tampa Gold

  • 2017 Boys – Champions: Our 2017 Boys delivered an explosive performance, scoring 34 goals in just four games. They capped off the weekend with a shutout win in the final, showcasing skill, focus, and chemistry.
  • 2015/16 Girls – Champions: Playing 9v9 for the first time, the 2015/16 Girls rose to the occasion and adapted seamlessly, taking home the championship title. Their teamwork and composure were on full display throughout the tournament.
  • 2014 Boys – Champions: The 2014 Boys gave fans a thrilling ride, advancing through the semi-final and final via penalty shootouts—winning both. Their resilience and competitive spirit carried them all the way to the top.
  • 2017/18 Boys – Finalists: Our 2017/18 Boys made a strong statement, scoring 19 goals across four games and finishing the weekend as proud finalists. Their performance continues to show how much talent and promise this group holds.

Sarasota Cup Champions: 2015/16 Girls Shine in U10 Gold Bracket

  • South Tampa Gold's 2015/16 Girls delivered an outstanding performance at the Sarasota Cup Girls Weekend, competing in the highly competitive U10 Gold Bracket.
  • Facing off against some of the top teams in the state of Florida, the girls rose to the challenge and showcased composure, teamwork, and determination across the tournament.
  • They finished the weekend as tournament champions, conceding only 2 goals the entire event—a true testament to their defensive discipline and overall growth.
  • Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on an incredible achievement!
